Global Tastes of Purim with Susan Barocas

Purim food and treats go way beyond hamantashen for Jews around the world. Come learn about many of these delicious traditions from such countries as Turkey, Holland, Italy, Morocco and Persia, site of the Purim story. Our morning will include a demonstration of preparing treats such as nan berenji, Persian rice flour and poppy seed cookies. Tasting the treats is also included, of course!

Susan Barocas is a writer, chef, teacher and speaker with a passion for Jewish food and Sephardic cuisines and history. Founding director of the Jewish Food Experience, she was guest chef for three Obama White House Seders.
 

Cost: $15 (members), $18 (nonmembers)

Baby sitting will be available if reserved in advance.
