The Fast of the First Born - normally observed the day before Passover - will fall on a Thursday this year since we do not fast on Shabbat. There is a tradition that those who participate in a Siyyum (the celebratory completion of a piece of study) are obligated to join in a celebratory meal. Once one has eaten on the fast day while participating in the celebration, one can then eat the rest of the day and there is no need to resume the fast.

Rabbi Werbow will complete the study of Mishna Megillah with the last pieces of the masechet, followed by a special kaddish and a celebratory meal (in your own home). All are welcome, first born or not.
