Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz

We are delighted to have Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz join us as Musician-in-Residence. Deborah received rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and serves the Hadar Institute as Director of Tefillah and Music. An educator, practitioner, and facilitator of Jewish communal music, she supports communities and individuals who seek to deepen their practice of empowered song and connective prayer with curiosity, skill, and heart. Through workshops, song-circles, and tefillah experiences, she strives to use song as a tool in the process of unearthing the grassroots creative spirituality of the Jewish and global people.

Both a performer and a composer, Deborah brings her passion for community-building to her artistic partnerships; she has collaborated on over two dozen albums with a diverse array of voices in the Jewish soundscape. Click here to hear "The Narrow & the Expanse", Deborah's 2022 debut album.
