Educate the child according to their way and even when they
grow old, they will not depart from it. (adapted from Proverbs 22:6)
The Paul and Annetta Himmelfarb School is a place where students begin their journey on the path to lifelong Jewish involvement. We encourage exploration through a program that is both academically challenging and full of warmth and joy.
We believe a strong Jewish identity can develop through the teachings of Jewish texts and traditions reinforced by a thriving Jewish environment and peer group. The path to this goal is marked by students' understanding of religious beliefs and traditions; their ability to practice religious observances in the home and in the synagogue; and the comprehension of the concepts of Tefillah—prayer. Our team of talented and creative faculty provide a high-quality learning environment, and we join with parents to help our students transform the texts they study into actions in the world around them.
Our unique approach includes:
• Small class sizes from Pre-Gan through 12th grade
• Individualized learning tailored to your child's needs
• Intergenerational programming
• Experiential programming
• Enthusiastic and experienced educators
