Gevarim Educational Activities

Gevarim offers these and other educational activities throughout the year. All are welcome to come and learn!

Talmud Study
In English translation, led by Rabbi Seidel
From 1:00pm - 2:00pm every other Shabbat between the High Holidays and late June

We use the 42-volume Talmud Bavli, published by KorenPublishers and prepared in conjunction with Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz. TI members can access the entire Talmud if logged into their member account.

Jewish History Series: Dead Sea Scrolls
At 10:30am - 12:15pm on Sunday mornings each year between October and June.

The course is taught by Professor Gary A. Rendsburg, a dedicated Dead Sea Scrolls scholar who has spent decades immersed in their study. The 24 lecture course explains what the scrolls are, what they contain, and how the insights they offered into religious and ancient history came into focus. Following each class, there will be a TI member-led discussion.
