Class - Begin or Int Hebrew - 2016

TI's Adult Education Committee is sponsoring two Hebrew classes on Sundays, beginning Sept. 18^th.

Advanced Beginning Hebrew with Stephanie Rubin

Long time TI member Stephanie Rubin began studying Hebrew as an adult. Although she has had no formal teaching back­ground, she has been studying Hebrew since 1990, and teaching it for about ten years. She has been teaching the Thursday morning intermediate Hebrew class for about five years, and also has had a few private students. Stephanie will be assisted by Azaria Shashoua, age 9, a 4th grader at JPDS and a regular participant in TI’s haftarah troupe.

Intermediate/Advanced Modern Hebrew with Kim and Wylie Levone

This modern Hebrew class will use songs, stories, and newspaper articles (together with a standard textbook, Ivrit min ha’hatchala) to increase vocabulary and conversational skills. If you’ve gotten through kita aleph and even kita bet, this is a great opportunity to strengthen your Hebrew skills and increase your confidence and comfort level in speaking and understanding everyday modern Hebrew. Registration is requested but walk-ins will also be welcome.
