WHAT WAS TI DAY?

TI DAY had something for everyone. With unique events throughout the day, it gave the community the chance to come together while apart and express appreciation to Rabbi Seidel before he retires.

This day celebrated the joy of TI's community, and was created in honor of Rabbi Seidel for his 28 years
of service to TI. In this time of social distancing,
it was more important than ever to come together as
a community, albeit virtually. Traditionally, TI holds a Spring Fling or Gala each year to gather together and raise money to support the synagogue.
This year, the Gala committee put together a day filled with some of things that encompass what the community will miss as Rabbi Seidel moves on – his text study and teaching, baking, juggling, and the warmth that he and Rachel have shared with all of us over the last 28 years.

Virtual Gala

TI Members and friends of the community put on their Zoom best (at least from the waist up!) and joined together to celebrate the strong, caring, and wonderful community that is TI.

We toasted Rabbi Seidel and celebrated how much he’s given to TI as a whole and to each of us individually during his 28 years of leadership. The virtual gala included toasts and tributes, a skit, and surprises (watch the Gala video). This was a special event to conclude our TI DAY in a communal TI way!
