Revised Masking Policy
Effective December 18, 2022 Tifereth Israel has revised its masking policy concerning Covid-19 and other airborne illnesses. The policy is summarized below:
· All non-service events, including Himmelfarb school classes, are mask-optional
unless otherwise communicated in advance.
· Services for children/youth, including Tot Shabbat and Junior Congregation, are mask-optional unless otherwise communicated in advance.
· Occasional mask-optional Shabbat services will be held with a mask-required
section. These service dates will be communicated in advance and are already scheduled for January 28, February 11, and April 1, 2023.
· At all indoor services not specifically geared to children, adults are required to wear masks when not leading, leyning, or otherwise addressing the congregation.
· Masks are optional at events involving meals/snacks, however masks should be worn in buffet lines.
This policy will be revisited by the Board of Directors no later than April 2023.
