*Need Support?
Need Support?
Everyone needs support at some point in their life. Sometimes a joyous event, like the birth of a child, means you need help feeding the rest of the family. Maybe you're a parent navigating your first Bat Mitzvah and would welcome a veteran to help walk you through the process. The loss of livelihood or the death of a loved one could leave you in need of emotional or financial assistance, or both.
Just as we each have a need for support, it is deeply meaningful to stretch out a hand to help someone else. Tifereth Israel offers opportunities to both receive and to give. We hope everyone who needs will ask, and everyone who is able to give will find a way to reach out.
Financial Support
If you are in financial straits, you can speak confidentially with Rabbi Werbow or Executive Director, Jevera Temsky.
Life-Cycle Help
In addition to Rabbi Werbow, TI's Helping Hands Committee is ready to show up when a congregant could use a hospital visit, assistance getting to a doctor's appointment, shiva meal or other needs. Contact Susan Catler and describe your needs and sign up to volunteer here.
In Case of a Death
The Funeral Practices Committee is always on call when a loved one is ready to pass or has died. You will be assigned a chaver to help you navigate the funeral process and provide comfort as you mourn.
