Adult Education

TI has an wide array of adult learning offerings. Gevarim and Kol Nashim sponsor a variety of programs and classes, and many other activities happen through the initiative of individual members who are excited about bringing a learning opportunity to the community:

Recurring Adult Learning Programs

INTERMEDIATE HEBREW/BEGINNING TANACH
Thursdays at 10:30 am via Zoom.
The class reads B’reishit, usually covering approximately ten verses each week.

MISHNA WITH RABBI WERBOW
Saturdays at 8:15 am in person and via  Zoom
Join with Rabbi Werbow as we deepen our understanding of Judaism through the eyes of the early rabbis. All levels of learning and Hebrew skills are welcome!

TALMUD STUDY WITH RABBI SEIDEL
Saturdays at 1:00 pm in-person (monthly)
Rabbi Seidel will lead in-person study of a of Talmud Bavli, published by Koren
Publishers and prepared in conjunction with Rabbi Adin Steinsaltzz"l. This class uses an English translation and anyone may attend.

Mondays at 11:00 am via Zoom
Meet online with Rabbi Werbow and a lively group of congregants to discuss insights from the weekly Torah portion. Bring your questions and an open mind; no Hebrew skills necessary.

HEBREW TANACH CLASS: KOHELET
Fridays at 11:00 am in-person (monthly)
Rabbi Seidel will guide an in-person exploration of Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) using the Tanach and biblical and rabbinic texts.  Ability to read and translate Hebrew without vowels helpful but not required.
